Director of Product Development


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be extremely hands-on 
  • Strong communicator with negotiating skills: i.e. finding competitive pricing in materials and goods 
  • Manage 1 Product Development Coordinator as a direct report 
  • Manages project calendars to ensure critical deadlines are met and reports issues at weekly meetings. 
  • Work closely with our Director of Design, Director of Marketing, Operations Coordinator, and Founder to launch new home textile collections 
  • Devise new processes, or refine exiting ones, to optimize our operations 
  • Work in conjunction with purchasing and sales department to ensure required fabric inventory levels. Specifications (cutting/sewing/dyeing/finishing); Bills of Materials; Item Set-up in SOS INVENTORY and SHOPIFY
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven management and leadership – be a “Problem Solver” 
  • Excellent computer and IT experience and understanding 
  • Excel is a must and Photoshop and Illustrator are preferred 
  • Strong organization and attention to details 
  • Prior related-Industry experience required 
  • Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years in apparel manufacturing or product development 
  • Proficient in Excel and Illustrator and Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Strong project management and communication skills 
  • ERP or inventory management experience 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus 
COMPENSATION
  • $50 per hour (non-exempt), depending on experience
  • Quarterly Performance Bonus
  • 1-Weeks Paid Vacation
  • Annual Performance Review
WORK HOURS
  • Monday through Friday 9:30AM-6:00PM
