This fabric guide introduces our signature collections — Vintage Linen, Nap, Tru, Sei, and more — highlighting their qualities and providing expert care recommendations to help your bedding look and feel beautiful for years to come.
Whether you’re dressing your bed with sheet sets, layering with duvet covers and shams, adding warmth with quilts, coverlets, throws and blankets, or completing the look with bolsters, decorative pillows and bed panels, every piece is thoughtfully made to complement the fabrics you love.
Linen
Our most popular fabric, Vintage Linen offers a relaxed, lived-in feel from the first wash. Woven from flax fibres, it’s naturally strong, breathable, and softens beautifully over time. Moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating, it’s a versatile choice for every season.
Care: Wash light and dark colors separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Use mild detergent without bleach or optical brighteners. Tumble dry low or line dry; remove promptly to reduce wrinkles. Iron on medium heat if desired.
A linen base finished with intricate lacework, Cluny Lace pairs the durability of flax fibres with delicate, heirloom-inspired detailing. Ideal for layering and decorative accents.
Care: Wash light and dark colors separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Place in a laundry bag to protect lace. Avoid bleach. Line dry preferred, or tumble dry low.
Defined by its fray-edged hem, Tat Linen has an artisanal, relaxed character that develops even more charm over time. Retaining all the breathable and cooling qualities of linen, it’s as comfortable as it is beautiful.
Care: Gentle wash only. Always place inside a mesh laundry bag to protect edges. Wash cold with mild detergent. Line dry or tumble dry low. Over time, some additional fraying may naturally occur. Gently trim loose threads with sharp scissors—never pull them, as that can worsen the damage.
Breathable yet insulating, Ida Quilted Linen offers warmth without weight. Its quilted structure makes it ideal for transitional seasons, whether used alone or layered under a duvet.
Care: Wash light and dark colors separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or line dry. Avoid over-drying to maintain loft. For optimal care and lasting beauty, avoid overloading the washer or dryer. Allow adequate space for the item to circulate freely to preserve loft, texture, and longevity.
Cotton
Percale Weave
Percale is a plain weave created with a one-over-one structure. Known for its cool, crisp feel and durability, it’s breathable and softens beautifully with every wash. At MATTEO, our percale collection is represented through three fabrics: Nap, Tru, and Tat Cotton, each with its own distinct character.
Our best-selling hotel-quality cotton, Nap combines buttery softness with long-lasting durability. Its smooth drape and versatile style make it suitable for both everyday and elevated interiors.
Care: Machine wash in cold water with like colors. Tumble dry low and remove promptly to minimise wrinkles.
Balanced in weight, softness, and strength, Tru is a refined percale cotton weave. Woven with fine 100-singles cotton yarns, Tru is crafted into a true 400-thread count percale, offering light softness and a crisp finish that improves with every wash.
Care: Wash in cold water with gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or line dry.
The cotton interpretation of our Tat Linen, this fabric features fray-edged hems for a casual, artisanal look with the softness and ease of cotton.
Care: Gentle wash only, inside a mesh laundry bag to protect edges. Line dry or tumble dry low. Over time, some additional fraying may naturally occur. Gently trim loose threads with sharp scissors—never pull them, as that can worsen the damage.

Our highest thread count fabric at 600, Sei offers a silky-smooth touch, lustrous finish, and weighty drape. The weave enhances softness while retaining durability, creating a refined, polished bed.
