Paisley Sheet Set

The Paisley Sheet Set is 100% linen, using a 28 single-metric yarn in both the warp and the weft. Derived from the flax plant, linen grows softer with each wash and is naturally moisture absorbent, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial. Every set is garment-washed and dyed using non-toxic dyes in MATTEO's dyehouse.

The Paisley motif is a repeating teardrop-shaped pattern of Persian origin, later reproduced extensively in the Scottish town of Paisley. MATTEO's interpretation is ornate but restrained, layering visual interest over the texture of garment-washed Vintage Linen without reading as loud or decorative. Darker colorways include a contrasting white topstitch that reinforces the pattern's edge detail.

A Queen Paisley Sheet Set includes one Queen fitted sheet, one Queen flat sheet, and two Queen pillowcases. A King Paisley Sheet Set includes one King fitted sheet, one King flat sheet, and two King pillowcases. All items in a set are garment-dyed together in the same color; to mix colors, order individual pieces separately.

Linen is one of the most breathable natural fibers available. The open weave of MATTEO's Vintage Linen allows air to circulate freely, and linen's natural moisture absorption pulls heat and humidity away from the body through the night. It is a practical choice for warm-climate sleeping or anyone who runs hot.

Machine wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and a cool rinse, separating light and dark colors. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly to reduce wrinkling; line drying gives the best results. Do not use bleach or products containing whitening agents such as chlorine bleach or benzoyl peroxide, as these will damage the garment dye. If you prefer a pressed look, iron while slightly damp on the Linen or High setting.

All items within a single set are garment-dyed together in the same dye lot, so the fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcases will match one another. Because this is a MATTEOX clearance product, samples from different orders may vary in tone between dye lots. The product listing notes that visible sample characteristics, including shade variation, may be present.

Vintage Linen uses 100% flax-derived fiber rather than cotton, which gives it a distinct texture: slightly more dimensional when new, and progressively softer with repeated washing. Cotton sateen or percale sheets tend to feel immediately smooth, while linen develops its character over time. Linen also has a higher natural breathability and moisture-wicking capacity than most cotton weaves, making it a stronger option for warm-weather or all-season use.
