Garment dyeing means the finished duvet cover and shams are dyed together as completed pieces using non-toxic reactive dyes, rather than dyeing the yarn or fabric before construction. This process produces deep, even color and a lived-in softness from the start. Because reactive dyes bond directly to cotton fibers, the color is durable under normal laundering. Wash lights and darks separately on a lukewarm cycle with a gentle detergent and a cool rinse. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly to minimize wrinkling. Line drying produces the best results. Do not use bleach or products containing whitening agents such as chlorine bleach, alpha hydroxy acids, or benzoyl peroxide on garment-dyed pieces.
