Tru Fitted Sheet

The Tru Fitted Sheet is 100% cotton, woven in a percale (1-over-1 plain weave) at a true 400 thread count. Percale is notoriously difficult to weave at high thread counts because the structure limits how many threads fit in one square inch. MATTEO achieved 400 by using a very thin 100 singles cotton yarn, making this one of the highest thread count percale sheets available. The result is a light, crisp hand feel with genuine breathability.

The Tru Fitted Sheet has 16-inch pockets and fits mattresses up to 20 inches deep. The elastic band runs the full perimeter of the sheet, not just the corners, and is encased in the bottom seam with a high-density stitch for long-term hold. Flat felled seams at the pocket edges reinforce the corners where wear is highest.

Percale cotton is one of the more breathable weave structures available in cotton bedding. The 1-over-1 plain weave creates a lighter, airier fabric than sateen, and the 400 thread count in the Tru Fitted Sheet maintains that breathability without sacrificing the soft, crisp feel that percale is known for. It is a solid choice for warm sleepers or humid climates.

Tru Fitted Sheets are garment-washed and dyed using non-toxic, reactive dyes. Reactive dyes bond directly with the cotton fiber, producing color that holds well through repeated washing. Because the dyeing process is sensitive to whitening agents, avoid chlorine bleach, alpha hydroxy acids, and benzoyl peroxide on any garment-dyed colorway. White cotton versions can be bleached. Wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and a cool rinse, separating lights from darks. Do not overload the machine, as this can stress the long cotton fibers. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly to limit wrinkling; line drying gives the best result. If you prefer a crisp finish, press while slightly damp on the Lightweight Cotton or Medium iron setting.

The Tru Fitted Sheet is available in Twin (39 x 75 x 16 in), Twin XL, Full (54 x 75 x 16 in), Queen (60 x 80 x 16 in), Cal King (72 x 84 x 16 in), and King (78 x 80 x 16 in). All sizes have a 16-inch pocket depth. California King dimensions are distinct from standard King, so confirm your mattress size before ordering.

Many sheets marketed at 800 or 1000 thread count use multi-ply yarns, which allows manufacturers to count each strand of a twisted yarn separately. A true percale at 400 thread count, woven with single-ply 100 singles cotton yarn as in the Tru, is technically more demanding to produce.
