Ida Duvet Cover
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Ida Duvet Cover made of?
The Ida Duvet Cover is 100% linen with poly batting, constructed using two layers of MATTEO's Vintage Linen and a unique 3-inch diamond quilting thread. The linen is garment-washed and dyed using non-toxic dyes, designed and manufactured by MATTEO in Los Angeles.
Is the Ida Duvet Cover breathable enough for warm sleepers?
Yes. Linen is naturally moisture-absorbent and insulating, keeping you cool when warm and retaining heat when cool. The quilted top layer and plain Vintage Linen backing work together to maintain airflow while adding warmth, making the Ida a year-round duvet cover.
What sizes does the Ida Duvet Cover come in, and will it fit my bed?
The Ida Duvet Cover is available in Queen (90 x 94 inches / 229 x 239 cm) and King (108 x 94 inches / 274 x 239 cm). MATTEO recommends a King size for a Cal-King bed and a Queen size for a Full bed; all covers are cut generously, so check your insert dimensions before ordering.
How do I wash and care for the Ida Duvet Cover?
Machine wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and a cool rinse, keeping light and dark colors separated. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly to reduce wrinkling; for best results, line dry. Do not use bleach or products containing whitening agents, as the reactive garment-dyes are not resistant to them. Learn more about MATTEO's garment-dyeing process.
