Cluny Napkin
Frequently Asked Questions
What material are the Cluny Napkins made from?
The Cluny Napkin is 100% linen with a cotton cluny lace hem, garment-washed and dyed using non-toxic dyes. The linen base is our Vintage Linen fabric, woven with a 28 single-metric yarn in both the warp and weft for a balanced weave that is soft and sturdy.
What size are the Cluny Linen Napkins?
Each Cluny Napkin measures 22 x 22 inches (56 x 56 cm), a standard dinner napkin size suitable for formal table settings and everyday dining.
Are the Cluny Napkins machine washable?
Yes, the Cluny Napkins are machine washable. Wash in a lukewarm cycle with gentle detergent, separating light and dark colors, and avoid bleach or any whitening agents, which can affect the garment-dyed finish. Tumble dry on low or line dry for best results.
Do linen napkins soften over time with washing?
Linen naturally grows softer with each wash. The Vintage Linen used in the Cluny Napkin goes through a special washing process at our dyehouse that opens and penetrates the fibers before the napkin even reaches you, so it starts softer than untreated linen and continues to improve with use.
